The Brief
WH Silverbacks required a specialist crew to support the build of The Open Clubhouse — the centrepiece hospitality structure for The Open Championship 2026 at Royal Birkdale. One of the four golf majors, The Open attracts a global audience and operates to a schedule with zero flexibility. The structure needed to be built, finished, and handed over on time, to specification, with no margin for error.
What We Did
ProMarquee Crews supplied four experienced crew members for the full duration of the build. Working alongside WH Silverbacks’ own team, our crew supported the installation of a large-scale temporary structure featuring full-height glazed panels, a double-storey facade, and extensive external decking — all finished to the standard expected at a major championship venue.
The job ran for two weeks from initial install through to full completion, with our crew on site every day until handover.
The Result
Build completed on schedule. The Open Clubhouse opened as planned for the tournament, which ran 12–19 July 2026 at Royal Birkdale.
