The Brief
Mar-Key Group required experienced crew to support the installation of a large-scale double-decker temporary structure at the All England Club ahead of the Wimbledon Championships. One of the four tennis Grand Slams, Wimbledon operates to exacting standards — from the quality of the build to the conduct on site. Everything has to be right.
What We Did
ProMarquee Crews supplied crew for the full build at one of the most recognisable sporting venues in the world. The job involved working within the All England Club’s strict site protocols, installing a multi-level temporary structure featuring full-height glazed panels, blue-painted structural steelwork, and safety netting across the upper frame — with MEWPs in operation throughout.
The double-decker scale of the structure meant coordination across multiple workstreams simultaneously, with crew working at height and on the ground in parallel.
The Result
Build completed ahead of the tournament. The structure was handed over to Mar-Key Group on schedule, ready for Wimbledon 2026.
Why It Matters
Wimbledon is arguably the most recognised sporting event in the UK. The temporary structures that support it — hospitality suites, media facilities, spectator areas — are built by contractors like Mar-Key Group, who need crew partners they can trust completely on a site where there is no room for error. ProMarquee Crews delivered.
